Application of Defoamer in Electroplating Wastewater
Electroplating is the process of plating a thin layer of other metals or alloys on some metal surfaces. When it comes to electroplating, it is naturally associated with electroplating solution. It refers to a liquid that can expand the range of cathodic current density of metals, improve the appearance of coatings, and increase the stability of solution oxidation resistance.
Through electroplating process, products with different metallic luster can be obtained, which are more popular in the market, so electroplating process is very important. However, in the actual process application, the electroplating process will also produce foam, which requires the use of electroplating defoamer.
In the practical production and application of electroplating, the electroplating solution will produce a lot of foam due to too much organic matter in the bath, too high concentration of pickling solution, too many impurities, and oxide film on the surface before entering the bath.
The negative consequences of too many foam: 1. increased costs; 2. Excessive loss of detergent; 3. Affect the quality of electroplating; 4. Affect the normal operation of the machine;
Disposal method of electroplated foam:
Through systematic research and field test, the defoamer used in electroplating solution is refined from a specially modified organic polymer and belongs to a highly stable defoaming agent. Electroplating antifoam has excellent defoaming and foam inhibition functions. Anti foaming agent will not cause demulsification, oil floating, oil floating and sedimentation. Defoamer has no obvious effect on subsequent processing.
