1. Add before foaming
The production of foam can be inhibited by adding defoamer antifoam to the system that may produce foam in advance. For closed containers and devices, defoming agent can effectively eliminate foam.
2. Continuous dropping addition
When the foaming liquid is circulating or flowing, the circulating flow accompanying the foaming liquid will consume the antifoaming agent. In this case, the antifoam can effectively eliminate foam by continuously dropping the defoamer. If the metering pump is supplemented, the dosage can be effectively controlled to achieve the most economical use of defoamer.
Precautions before adding defoamer
1. The silicone defoamer lotion needs to be fully stirred before use. Because if the organosilicon defoamer lotion is uneven, it is easy to have stratification, which affects the use effect of defoaming agent.
2. Try to use thickener to dilute the defoamer antifoam. The silicone defoamer can be diluted when it is used, but the stability of the antifoam may decrease when it is diluted, such as delamination. Therefore, it is recommended to use thickener to dilute the antifoming agent as much as possible. If you dilute it with water, please add water to the defoamer and slowly stir it, and use it up on the same day of dilution.
3. Prevent antifoming agent frost. Silicone defoamer is very sensitive to frost and high temperature and is easy to be damaged. If the defoaming agent has been frozen, it must be carefully defrosted and tested before use.
